The Mäag Audio EQ2™ is a 2-band analog equalizer in the 500 series format, designed to deliver exceptional musicality and remarkable ease of use. Directly inheriting the brand's expertise and incorporating the renowned AIR BAND®, it instantly adds presence, clarity, and openness to your sources, while perfectly preserving their original character.

Designed for both tracking and mixing, the EQ2 stands out for its minimalist yet highly effective approach. It combines two complementary sections: a Low Mid Frequency (LMF) band covering a range from sub-bass to 1.4 kHz, and the AIR BAND® section, a true signature sound of Mäag Audio. The latter offers several selectable frequencies, including an additional position at 15 kHz, ideal for refining the highs and adding air without harshness or sibilance.

The LMF section allows for precise shaping of the low and low-mid frequencies, thanks to wide or narrow bell curves, offering fine control over the warmth and body of the signal. It is particularly effective on buses, vocals, acoustic guitars, and overheads, where it can add density or correct specific areas without altering the source's character.

The EQ2 also incorporates an input attenuator (INPUT ATTN) that can reduce the level by up to -12 dB, a very useful tool for controlling levels upstream, especially with transformer-based preamps or already heavily amplified sources. This feature optimizes gain staging before equalization, ensuring a clean and controlled signal.

Like other equalizers from the brand, the EQ2 offers remarkable transparency and signal processing with minimal phase shift, ensuring a natural and musical sound.
