The Mäag Audio PREQ4® is a mono analog microphone preamp in the 500 series format, designed to deliver a transparent, musical, and detailed sound, while incorporating the renowned AIR BAND®, the brand's iconic sonic signature. Compact and powerful, it is aimed at sound engineers seeking a high-end solution for tracking, mixing, or processing individual sources.

Featuring circuitry optimized to preserve signal integrity, the PREQ4® offers a pure audio path free from excessive coloration, faithfully capturing the character of microphones and sources. It provides up to 65 dB of gain, making it perfectly suited to the most demanding microphones, including ribbon mics, while maintaining excellent noise levels (EIN of -128 dBu) and ample headroom (+27 dBu).

The PREQ4® incorporates VARI AIR™ technology, which allows you to utilize the renowned AIR BAND® over an extended range from 2.5 kHz to 40 kHz.
