EVANS Onyx skins are made with two layers of 7.5 mils film for superior durability and a more distinct sound during live performances.
Frosted sandblasting gives Onyx skins a matte black appearance and improves attack and bass response. EVANS Level 360 technology has been incorporated to extend the contact surface 360 degrees around the entire circumference of the barrel.
The improved neck design ensures uniform contact with the barrel chamfer for easy mounting, extended tonal range and optimum sound quality.
EVANS Level 360 technology solves the classic problem of traditional synthetic skins being systematically difficult to mount on barrels without considerable force.
