ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The Antelope Audio Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is a 1U professional audio interface designed for recording studios, post-production, broadcast, OB trucks, stage installations, video games, VR and immersive audio workflows. A direct descendant of the Orion 32 series, it takes the concept of multichannel interface/converter a step further, combining AN/NA conversion, Dante networking, HDX integration, Thunderbolt 3, MADI, ADAT, S/PDIF and Synergy Core real-time effects processing in a single chassis.

With 32 analog input/output channels on D-Sub 25, mastering-quality conversion up to 130 dB dynamic range, 64-bit AFC clock, immersive monitoring up to 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos and an on-board 6 DSP + 2 FPGA engine, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is designed for environments where audio quality, routing flexibility and stability are essential.

From Orion 32 to Galaxy: a new multichannel benchmark

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core carries on the heritage of the Orion 32 interfaces, renowned for their conversion quality and reliability in the professional studio. It adds even more comprehensive connectivity, more powerful on-board effects processing and immersive monitoring functions for today's productions.

Its 1U rack format allows you to concentrate several devices in a single machine: multichannel converter, Thunderbolt 3 interface, HDX interface, Dante system, MADI interface, digital patch-bay, real-time effects processor and master clock.

This makes it a nerve center for modern audio installations that need to handle numerous sources, multiple digital formats and complex sessions.

Mastering up to 130 dB

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core offers 24-bit / 44.1 to 192 kHz conversion with a dynamic range of up to 130 dB. This conversion quality enables signals to be captured and reproduced with a wealth of detail, a wide and deep soundstage, and an excellent level of transparency.

It is particularly suited to demanding environments: multichannel recording, hybrid mixing, mastering, cinema/TV post-production, immersive audio, broadcast and live recording.

64-bit AFC clock and professional synchronization

Like other high-end Antelope Audio solutions, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core features proprietary 64-bit AFC (Acoustically Focused Clocking) technology. This clock ensures precise jitter management, exemplary pitch stability and a more coherent stereo image.

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core can also be used as a master clock for a complete studio. It features numerous synchronization connections, including :

6 Word Clock outputs
1 Word Clock input
Loop Sync input/output
10 MHz atomic clock input

This connector allows you to synchronize a wide variety of digital equipment in complex configurations.

32 analog channels and full digital connectivity

The interface offers 32 analog input/output channels via D-Sub 25 connectors, making it ideal for large consoles, analog summing systems, external preamp racks, outboard processors or hybrid installations.

Digital connectivity is particularly comprehensive:

Dante for audio-over-IP networks
HDX for Pro Tools HD / HDX integration
Thunderbolt 3 for direct computer connection
Optical MADI
ADAT
S/PDIF
AES3
Word Clock, Loop Sync and 10 MHz atomic clock input

This versatility means that the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core can be integrated into virtually any professional environment, without the need for additional cards or interfaces.

64 I/O channels in Pro Tools HDX up to 192 kHz

Thanks to Antelope Audio's FPGA programming, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core can function as a 64-channel I/O hub for Pro Tools HD / HDX systems, including up to 192 kHz.

All inputs/outputs remain available at all times, so there's no need to change configuration between sessions. This is a major advantage for studios that alternate between recording, mixing, post-production, broadcast or hybrid workflows with outboard.

Immersive monitoring up to 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is ready for surround and immersive audio workflows. It can control configurations of up to 16 channels, or 9.1.6, and offers 23 preconfigured monitoring formats.

It also integrates speaker calibration and alignment tools, essential for studios working in Dolby Atmos, immersive music, cinema/TV post-production, video games, VR or multichannel art installations.

This feature allows complex monitoring systems to be managed directly from the interface, without the need for a dedicated external controller.

Synergy Core: 6 DSPs + 2 FPGAs for real-time effects

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core features the Synergy Core processing engine, made up of 6 DSP chips and 2 FPGA processors. This architecture makes it possible to use effects modeled in real time, with virtually zero latency, without using the computer's processor.

The interface includes 37 Antelope Audio effects modeling renowned studio gear:

Preamps
Console slices
Equalizers
Compressors
Bus processing
Creative effects

Up to 128 effect instances can be loaded in a single session. This makes it possible to use a compressor on a drum bus, a mastering equalizer on a mix, vocal processing during recording or creative effects in post-production, directly in the interface.

The collection can also be enhanced with additional effects, such as analog modeling or compatible third-party effects, including some Antares treatments.

Virtual patch-bay and advanced routing

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core's digital routing works like a virtual patch-bay. The routing matrix allows you to quickly dispatch all signals entering and leaving the interface.

The software control panel offers :

Drag-and-drop routing
Color-coded labeling
Send to Synergy Core effects
Preset creation
Quick mix configuration
Instant recall of complex configurations
Remote control via network or from a second computer

This approach simplifies complex workflows, enabling you to move quickly from a recording session to a mixing, post-production or broadcast configuration.

Large touch screen and remote control

The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core can be configured directly from its large front panel touchscreen. This hardware control makes it easy to make quick adjustments without having to systematically open the software.

For more complex installations, it can also be controlled remotely via the network or from a second computer. Customizable presets let you save and recall configurations for different uses: studio, live, broadcast, Atmos, hybrid mixing or post-production.

A 1U hub for large installations

With its 1U chassis, the Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is designed for studios where rack space is at a premium. It replaces several separate devices, combining converter, audio interface, Dante system, HDX interface, MADI interface, digital patch-bay, effects engine and master clock.

It is particularly useful in environments where audio needs to travel long distances, thanks in particular to Dante and MADI, or in hybrid systems combining console, outboard, Pro Tools HDX, audio network and immersive monitoring.

Worth knowing
The Galaxy 32 Synergy Core is a high-end interface designed for professional studios and installations.
It is particularly suited to multi-channel workflows, hybrid mixing, post-production, broadcast, live and immersive audio.
It doesn't replace external mic preamps if you need direct mic inputs: it's primarily designed as a converter, digital hub and multi-format routing center.
To take advantage of the 32 analog channels, you'll need suitable D-Sub 25 cabling.
The included Synergy Core effects can be supplemented by compatible extensions or additional effects.
