ABOUT THE PRODUCT

Meticulously crafted in England, the ATKIN D37 is a stunning “Square Shoulders” Dreadnought-style steel-string acoustic guitar. Both its visual identity and its tonal character are undeniably and truly vintage.

All-solid-wood construction, crafted to the highest standards, the Atkin D37 is built from premium woods: a torrefied Adirondack spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides, “pre-war scalloped” bracing, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard, and an ebony bridge.
. Abundant in the 1930s—a period during which it was notably used to craft the soundboards of Martin guitars—"Red Spruce" or "Adirondack" spruce (Picea rubens) enjoys immense popularity. Denser than common spruce, Adirondack spruce possesses exceptional responsiveness. It also has the rare quality of retaining its clarity even when played with intense force.
. The ebony fingerboard subtly and naturally compresses the sound, a characteristic that can be advantageous in certain musical contexts.
. In addition to giving the wood an elegant patina, the roasting (“roasted” or “baked”) process improves the stability, sustain, clarity, and resonance of the instrument, while protecting it from temperature fluctuations, humidity, and mold.

The Atkin D37 guitar is a prestigious acoustic instrument. It produces tones that are full, warm, responsive, and nuanced, with rich, well-defined bass, balanced mids, and generous highs.
Highly inspiring to play, it will delight fans of folk-rock, Americana, and country.
