Bourgeois touchstone Vintage/TS Dreadnought - natural high gloss
Built from premium grade tonewoods, the Touchstone Series is a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship that is synonymous with the Bourgeois name. Available in Dreadnought and OM body styles, these acoustic offer a refined playing experience, hand-voiced tone, and world-class appointments to a wider range of players than ever before.
At the heart of the Touchstone Signature is its meticulously hand-voiced top, crafted with precision and care in the Lewiston, Maine workshop. Dedication to quality ensures each note resonates with clarity, depth, and character—the hallmarks of the Bourgeois sound.
The magic of the Touchstone Series comes from Dana’s renown system of hand-voicing. Over the last 50 years he has refined this old-world technique and is now recognized worldwide as a foremost authority on guitar-top voicing.
After Touchstone tops are approved by Dana, they are vacuum sealed and shipped to Eastman’s workshop where a select group of Eastman’s finest luthiers, carefully trained in Bourgeois’ tonal philosophy and construction methodology integrate the tops into Dana’s designs, bringing each guitar to life.
BOURGEOIS Touchtone Series Vintage/TS Dreadnought #T2309069 features solid Alaskan Sitka Spruce top with Adirondack Spruce bracing, solid indian Rosewood back/sides, solid Mahogany neck and Ebony fretboard.
Martin case included.
Sitka Spruce is the traditionnal choice for top wood on most acoustic guitars. Offering combination of strength and elasticity which translates into a broad dynamic range, Sitka Spruce has a punchy direct sound, yielding crisp articulation and allowing for versatile playing, from dynamic strumming, flatpicking or fingerpicking.
Adirondack is considered as one of the best Spruce available. Lots of clarity, excellent projection and sweet midrange.
Indian Rosewood is one of the most popular and traditional guitar woods. It takes the basic sonic thumbprint of Mahogany (strong midrange) and expands it in both directions of bass and treble.
Rosewood sounds deeper in the low end and brighter/sparkly on the top end. It appears to be more scooped in the middle than mahogany.
