Imagined and hand built by Master Builder Paul Waller, FENDER Custom Shop MBPW Stratocaster Sandblasted #R117542 (9216095023) solid body electric guitar features 2-piece Alder body, solid Maple neck with 1960 Oval C profile , flat-lam Rosewood fingerboard (9.5" radius, medium-jumbo frets), hand-wounded pickups by Josefina Campos (Custom Shop Fat 50's neck/center, Texas Special bridge), and Vintage Modified #2 Wiring with Tone-Saver Bleed.

Paul Waller was born in Southern California. He built his first guitar at age 14. He joins a cabinet shop right out of high school and shortly after is enrolled at the acclaimed Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, from which he graduated in spring of 2000.
Waller joins Fender in 2003. Spending two years working closely with master arch-top craftsman Bob Benedetto, allows him to get the skills in the many facets of building techniques from all the Custom Shop’s Master Builders. After an extensive seven-year apprenticeship, Waller becomes an official Master Builder in 2010.

His Fender Custom Shop collaborations and creations includes names like U2’s Bono and Adam Clayton, Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood, Buddy Guy, Nile Rodgers (the famous Hitmaker Stratocaster), or Queens Of The Stone Age's Troy Van Leeuwen.
