This GIBSON Custom Shop Greatest Hits Collection 1942 J-45 All Mahogany (RS4245AMLAPSL1275) pays homage to the original model in an all-mahogany version, enhanced by a Murphy Lab Light Aged Vintage Sunburst finish that gives it an incredibly authentic vintage look.
Crafted from premium solid woods (mahogany top, mahogany back and sides, Adirondack spruce braces, rosewood fingerboard), this splendid steel-string acoustic guitar evokes genuine emotion—the feeling of playing an authentic vintage instrument that has only improved with the passage of time.

For 25 years, Tom Murphy has honed his craft in reproducing the appearance and character of vintage guitars. Building on this expertise, Gibson collaborated with the master luthier to develop a new finish formula that perfectly mimics the typical imperfections of 1950s and 1960s nitrocellulose lacquer, as well as to refine specific manufacturing techniques.
Every craftsman working at the Murphy Lab has been personally trained by Tom Murphy to become an expert in the aging process.
