The GIBSON Modern Collection Hummingbird Standard (MCSSHBHFVCS) retains the fundamental characteristics of the original Hummingbird, enhanced with a Baggs HiFi DNA preamp.

The Gibson Hummingbird Standard’s all-solid-wood construction combines traditional woods: a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany body and neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard (20 frets). A classic combination in the best sense of the word produces a sound that is both full-bodied and powerful, with generous bass, present mids, and rich highs that never lack clarity.
Its natural acoustic volume is ideal for singers who accompany themselves on guitar.

The Hummingbird Standard is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups placed under the bridge instead of the usual piezo. They perform recordings of the vibrations of both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA pickup has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
