Its warm, expressive, and balanced tones have made it a timeless instrument.

The all-solid-wood construction of the GIBSON Modern Collection J-45 Standard Left-Handed (MCRS45HFHCSL) combines traditional woods with a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany body and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard (20 frets). A classic combination in the best sense of the word, providing an excellent balance between projection, warmth, and clarity, with prominent midrange.

This J-45 Standard is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups positioned under the bridge instead of the usual piezo pickup. They perform recordings of the vibrations of both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA pickup has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
