Phil Collen has been playing Jackson guitars since 1986, the era of Def Leppard’s two breakthrough albums, “Pyromania” and “Hysteria.” In fact, he was one of the first artists to collaborate with Jackson on a signature model.
The JACKSON Pro Series Signature Phil Collen PC1-E (2913062503) carries on the legacy of the legendary original Jackson Dinky PC1.

Much like the famous “Superstrats” of the 1980s, the Jackson Pro Series Signature Phil Collen PC1-E combines design elements borrowed from major American guitar manufacturers, enhanced by a versatile set of pickups capable of delivering both distorted and clean tones, and a double-locking tremolo system (specifically, a Floyd Rose 1000).
It features a mahogany body, a bolt-on roasted maple neck reinforced with graphite rods, and an ebony fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets.

The pickup set consists of a DiMarzio® X2N® humbucking pickup in the bridge position, a DiMarzio® single-coil pickup Sugar Chakra™ single-coil pickup in the middle position, and a Jackson Sustainer Driver system (powered by 18V) that generates infinite sustain.
The bridge pickup can be switched between single-coil and humbucking modes using the push-pull volume knob.
The PC1 circuit is activated via a dedicated mini-toggle switch. A second three-position switch allows you to choose between Fundamental, Harmonic, or Blend modes.

The Jackson Pro Series Signature Phil Collen PC1-E has been optimized for shredders with a very comfortable neck profile and a 12"/16" hybrid radius. Luminlay fretboard markers along the edge let you know where to place your fingers on dark stages.
