The CA 501 retains the highly regarded Grand Feel Compact action with solid wood keys of its predecessor, while incorporating the new "SK-EX Competition" grand piano sound, reproduced using Harmonic Imaging XL sound technology. This latest reproduction of Shigeru Kawai's flagship piano uses brand new sample data, specifically recorded from the pianist's point of view, and features a bright, clear sound with a distinctive

The CA501 features redesigned control panels with a more intuitive button layout that complements the large OLED display. In addition, wireless connectivity has also been refreshed, with Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth audio chips adopting the latest v5 standard ensuring significantly reduced latency, improved stability and superior sound quality when paired with the latest mobile devices.
Finally, the CA501's elegant cabinet benefits from design improvements, with better positioning of the pedals and the addition of sheet music support pins, which can be raised to hold sheet music pages in place.
