Kawai Responsive Hammer Mechanism with Hammer Detection
The Responsive Hammer Compact (RHC) mechanism of the KDP75 has been specially developed to faithfully reproduce the characteristic touch of a grand acoustic piano. Inspired by the design of the Kawai RH (Responsive Hammer) mechanism, this innovation integrates a mechanism without springs and a robust structure, ensuring smooth and damped movements with a high-quality material. Thanks to this design, keyboard noise is significantly reduced, offering a smooth, natural, and authentic playing experience.
Unlike most instruments in its category, which produce sounds based on key velocity, the realistic mechanism of the KDP75 measures the speed of the weighted hammers when they strike each key.
