The MARTIN GUITAR D-X2E Ziricote is a Dreadnought-style electro-acoustic steel-string acoustic guitar that deserves your full attention for its value for money and its eco-friendly design: its top is made of laminated spruce, while its back and sides are made of HPL (High-Pressure Laminate). The back is covered with a film that perfectly mimics the appearance of Ziricote.
HPL is a combination of resin and paper that is pressed and heated to very high temperatures, resulting in truly remarkable sound quality.
Martin & Co. is a pioneer in the development of new materials and the search for alternative wood species aimed at reducing human impact on traditional timber reserves.
The fingerboard and bridge are made of Richlite, a composite material itself made from recycled paper and resin heated to very high temperatures, with acoustic performance similar to that of ebony.
