Martin Standard Super D-18 - natural aging toner

The MARTIN & Co Standard Series Super D-18 is a Super D-style Dreadnought steel-string acoustic guitar. Martin has previously produced oversized Dreadnoughts (such as the D-45S Authentic 1936, inspired by an instrument from the C.F. Martin Museum Collection), but this Super D (Super Dreadnought) is now entering regular production and will be much easier to purchase.
The body volume of the Super D is approximately 20% larger than that of a standard Dreadnought. The bracing optimized for this body size enhances low frequencies while maintaining balanced mids and highs. Depending on how hard you play, you can achieve up to +12 dB of power.
The Martin Super D-18 is therefore designed for guitarists seeking a Dreadnought-style model with enhanced projection, while remaining true to Martin’s signature sound.
Thanks to its comfortable Golden Era (GE) Modified Low Oval neck profile and High-Performance Taper, it will be easier to play than a typical vintage model (the term “taper” refers to how the neck’s width changes from the nut to the joint with the body).

The Martin Standard Super D-18 features all-solid-wood, high-quality construction: a Sitka spruce solid top, mahogany body, mahogany neck, and ebony fingerboard.
This combination produces a sound that is both full and powerful, with generous bass, present mids, and rich highs that never lack clarity.
The ebony fingerboard subtly and naturally compresses the sound, adding a clarity that may prove valuable in certain musical contexts.
