Rcf HDL 6-A
The RCF HDL 6-A active line array module is designed for demanding professional sound reinforcement applications: tours, fixed installations, and events. It combines a very compact and lightweight design with high performance. Thanks to a 1400W two-way Class D amplifier and integrated DSP processing (crossover, phase correction, limiting/protection), it is ready to use.
It features high-performance neodymium transducers: two 6" woofers for a solid bass/midrange base, combined with a 1.7" voice coil compression driver mounted on a 100° × 10° waveguide, for controlled directivity and optimal vocal intelligibility.
The enclosure is made of reinforced polypropylene and wood composite, with aluminum handles, making it easy to transport and install. The symmetrical design ensures uniform coverage without waveform breaks or unexpected attenuations.
This model is ideal for suspended configurations (line array) or mobile scenarios where time savings and lightness are assets.
Frequency response: 65 Hz to 20,000 Hz.
Maximum sound pressure level (SPL @ 1 m): 131 dB.
Horizontal coverage angle: 100°.
Vertical coverage angle: 10°.
Transducers
Compression driver: 1 x 1" neodymium (1.75" voice coil).
Woofers: 2 x 6.0" neodymium (2.0" voice coil).
Electronics / Amplification
Amplification: 1,400 W (peak) – approximately 700 W RMS.
DSP: 48 kHz processing, 32-bit floating point, including crossover, phase correction, and limiter.
Connections: Balanced/unbalanced XLR inputs, XLR output.
Construction / Physics
Case material: Reinforced polypropylene composite + wood.
Handles: 2 aluminum handles on the rear.
Dimensions: Approx. 237 mm (H) × 470 mm (W) × 377 mm (D).
Weight: ~11.5 to 11.6 kg.
Key Features
Very compact and lightweight for a line array module—facilitates transport and installation.
High coverage accuracy thanks to the 100° × 10° waveguide and symmetrical design.
Professional sound quality: Neodymium material, digital amplification, integrated DSP.
For quick assembly or fixed installation: "plug and play."
Note
Although the response starts at ~65 Hz, for applications requiring very deep bass, an additional subwoofer will be advantageous.
Since vertical coverage is limited to 10°, overhead installation must be carefully planned to avoid loss of coverage.
Check the correct electrical sizing and the ability to daisy-chain multiple modules according to the power supply (230 V vs. 115 V), according to the manual.
