The RME ADI-2 Pro EX is a high-end conversion and monitoring solution designed for professional studios, mastering, and the most demanding audiophile listening systems. A true multifunction device, it combines a reference-grade AD/DA converter, a dual headphone amplifier, a multi-format digital converter (AES, SPDIF, and ADAT), and advanced DSD recording and playback capabilities into a compact form factor.
Capable of operating at sample rates up to 768 kHz, the ADI-2 Pro EX pairs an AKM AK5574 A/D converter with an AKM AK4493 D/A converter to deliver extremely precise audio reproduction, wide dynamic range, and ultra-low distortion.
RME has also optimized its "Extreme Power" headphone output stage to fully leverage the converter's performance, even when driving demanding, low-impedance headphones. Meanwhile, the proprietary "Advanced Balanced" mode provides a direct balanced signal path between the DAC and the headphones, ensuring exceptionally transparent sound.
The ADI-2 Pro EX features a wide range of processing and control tools accessible directly via its high-resolution IPS display, including a 5-band parametric EQ, binaural crossfeed, adjustable loudness, Mid/Side processing, phase inversion, and an RME 30-band spectral analyzer.
Serving as a studio converter, high-end headphone amp, and measurement interface all in one, the RME ADI-2 Pro EX offers a comprehensive solution for reference monitoring, professional mastering, audiophile setups, and audio measurement applications requiring ultra-high-precision conversion.
