Soyuz microphones 1973-B

The Soyuz 1973-B is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone designed to deliver rich, natural, and versatile sound in a compact form factor.

Inspired by the golden age of FET microphones, it utilizes a version of the renowned Soyuz 023 Bomblet capsule. This 33mm dual-diaphragm capsule ensures detailed reproduction with full lows, precise mids, and natural highs.

Its FET circuitry is engineered for excellent precision while retaining the musical character typical of Soyuz microphones. The 1973-B is thus suitable for a wide range of sources, including vocals, acoustic instruments, amplifiers, and drums.

Thanks to its two built-in pads (-10 dB and -20 dB), the microphone can also handle high-SPL sources. With a maximum SPL of 140 dB, it easily accommodates close-miking applications for guitar amps, kick drums, or snare drums.

Its cardioid polar pattern focuses capture on the primary source while rejecting sound from the rear of the microphone.

Compact and lightweight, the 1973-B is also easy to position in complex setups or tight spaces.

This "B" version features a distinctive black finish.
