Warm audio WA-47JRB + X-Screen
The Warm Audio Wa-47jrb is a studio microphone.
The WA-47jr is a modern FET version of the classic transformerless '47 that has been used in many tubes over the past 50 years. The WA-47jr is made with discrete components and has three polar patterns, and is designed for use in professional studio, home studio, live performance, and broadcast. It is ideal for recording vocals, electric instruments and acoustic instruments.
The WA-47jr uses an in-house reproduction of the vintage k47 capsule, designed with the same hole pattern and frequency response. The Warm Audio version of this capsule (model WA-47-B-80v) is meticulously crafted by an Australian capsule manufacturer who has the knowledge and skill to capture the essence of this type of microphone. The WA-47jr's low noise and fully discrete signal path coupled with an excellent capsule of this type provides a sound very close to the classic '47 microphone, but at a contained price. The WA-47jr uses the same capsule as its big brother, the tube WA-47.
The circuitry of the WA-47jr has been modernised and simplified compared to the classic '47 tube, and uses high quality Toshiba FETs, Wima film capacitors and Panasonic electrolytic capacitors. This combination provides a quality and sound far above what is found in this price range.
