The Warm Audio WA-FT Fen-Tone brilliantly combines the character of vintage ribbon microphones with the demands of modern studios. Inspired by the iconic models of the '50s, it adopts an ultra-compact, pencil-style format, perfectly suited to precise placement, even in the busiest recording setups.

At the heart of the Fen-Tone is a custom-made 1.8 micron Japanese ribbon, combined with a neodymium magnet and a CineMag USA transformer, guaranteeing rich, natural and balanced sound reproduction. Its extended frequency response from 30 Hz to 15 kHz captures both the deep lows and smooth highs typical of high-quality ribbon microphones.

Designed to fit in with today's audio chains, the WA-FT Fen-Tone incorporates the Warm Lifter preamplifier, offering +26 dB of switchable gain via phantom power. This intelligent design makes it easy to use with most audio interfaces and consoles, without compromising dynamics or analog grain.

Thanks to its figure-of-8 directivity, Fen-Tone excels at capturing high-dynamic sources, while maintaining an excellent signal-to-noise ratio of 87 dB. It proves particularly effective on guitar cabinets, drums, brass, piano or any source requiring warmth, depth and definition.
