A unique sensory experience
The Avant Grand series offers exceptional playing comfort, based on wooden keys covered with Ivorite, materials providing the same tactile sensations as natural ivory. The mechanics, then, are inherited from the brand's "concert" pianos. Yamaha installed optical sensors that continuously capture the speed and depth at which a note is pressed. A second optical sensor, located on each hammer handle, completes and perfects these measurements.
All the nuances and musical expression of the performer are thus instantly reproduced.

Two exceptional grand pianos in one instrument
This piano actually allows you to choose between two world-renowned concert pianos, with each model offering a unique character! A simple press will give you access to Yamaha CFX or Bösendorfer Imperial sounds.
Whatever your choice, the purity of sound reproduction of the AvandGrand N3X allows you to give free rein to your imagination.

Revolutionary sound sampling and delivery technologies
In order to reproduce the most realistic sound possible, Yamaha carried out 4-point sampling of the soundboard. The restitution system is also very sophisticated, the 4 diffusion points correspond to the 4 microphone locations when capturing the sampled pianos.
The sound reproduction has never been so rich!

Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM)
Yamaha has developed technology capable of perfectly reproducing the acoustic phenomena generated by an acoustic piano.

Total immersion with headphones
This piano will allow you to play with headphones, so as not to disturb those around you, for example. But you will still be able to benefit from the quality of the sampling thanks to Binaural technology, which produces a much more immersive sound than stereo sampling.

Tactile response system
A Yamaha tactile response system (TRS) completes the picture, transmitting sensations and vibrations directly through the keys to the pianist, who will then become one with his instrument!

A real grand piano pedal board
The sensations of the pedal board are identical (and therefore as subtle) as on a concert piano.

AUDIO recording (USB)
A USB port allows you to record directly on a USB key. This port can also be used to play and stream songs.

XLR Audio Outputs
Designed for the stage, this piano is equipped with professional audio outputs in XLR format.
