Maag audio EQ4M
The Mäag Audio EQ4M is a high-end, 6-band stereo mastering equalizer designed to deliver exceptional musicality and extreme precision in signal processing. A direct descendant of the renowned EQ3 developed by Cliff Mäag in 1993, it incorporates the brand's iconic sonic signature, notably thanks to the famous AIR BAND®, which adds brightness, openness, and depth to the high frequencies without harshness.
Designed for demanding mastering and mixing applications, the EQ4M™ operates on extremely clean ±18V rails, providing ample power without the need for an external chassis or power supply. This design allows for an impressive headroom of up to +29 dBu, ensuring high transparency and the ability to handle high-level signals without distortion.
The equalizer offers six meticulously calibrated music bands, including the AIR BAND® which covers an extended range from 2.5 kHz to 40 kHz. An additional 15 kHz position enhances the high-frequency processing possibilities, ideal for refining the presence and airiness of a mix. Each band is optimized for musical use, allowing for subtle corrections as well as more pronounced processing while preserving the natural sound of the signal.
True input/output bypass ensures instant comparison without signal alteration when the unit is disabled, a crucial feature in mastering. The EQ4M™ also incorporates a transparent input attenuator (INPUT ATTN), allowing for precise adjustment of the incoming signal level without coloration.
All controls are detented, guaranteeing excellent repeatability of settings, essential in a professional environment. Thanks to its two-channel stereo design and rack format, the Mäag Audio EQ4M™ fits perfectly into any mastering or mixing studio, offering a powerful, musical and precise solution for finely sculpting sound.
