Decades after the demise of the Gauss Speaker Company, the line is back with the Gauss 7 Monitor, which combines the classic design of vintage nearfield monitors with the bandwidth and frequency response performance of next-generation monitors.
Its GAU-AMT tweeter delivers ultra-smooth response with an impressive stereo field - turning hours of listening time into just minutes. The GAU-AMT folded tweeter stands out for its transparency and precision with detailed transients. The Gauss 7 system offers a very wide "sweet spot", a precise image and a natural and precise response in the midrange.
The Gauss 7 also includes simple but powerful adjustments to tailor it to your acoustics. Combined with the vertical dispersion of the GAU-AMT, this ensures a clean acoustic response in any environment.

The GAU-AMT: a high-fidelity tweeter.
At the heart of the Gauss 7 is the custom-designed and patented GAU-AMT tweeter. The GAU-AMT provides exceptional accuracy for even the most subtle waveforms. It produces an incredible stereo image while minimizing vertical throw, reducing unwanted acoustic reflections in the room and helping to avoid potential phase issues.
The GAU-AMT's 65mm folded polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film membrane contributes to its impressive transient response. This choice of PET film is driven by its low resonance frequency and low crossover point, providing exceptional high frequency extension. The GAU-AMT voice coil, etched in aluminum and bent, is mounted in a dedicated enclosure to avoid interference with the woofer's rear wave.
The extended frequency response up to 22 kHz makes the Gauss 7 an exceptional reference monitor for a wide range of music and sound sources. The air becomes not only audible but pleasantly sweet. Not only is it an exceptional reference monitor, it's also designed for extended listening sessions.

A unique vintage woofer design with modern bandwidth.
The Gauss 7's woofer takes heavy inspiration from the AV10-MLF "white cone" woofer while being a completely new design. The woofer cone, pressed from a proprietary blend of wood pulp and fiberglass, is similar to that used in the CLA-10 series woofer (AV10-MLF), but with more material for even deeper low frequencies. The Gauss 7 offers wide bandwidth for fantastic midrange and excellent bass reproduction.
The woofer motor, constructed of low carbon 1008 steel, ensures the highest magnetic flux density between the pole piece and the top plate. Unidirectional Japanese styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) surround optimizes woofer power and excursion. A rear-facing bass port gives the Gauss 7 controlled but punchy bass - tight response without the excess bass typical of other speakers in its price range.

Easy-to-use Acoustic Tuning controls.
Balanced XLR and 1?4" TRS inputs make connections easy, but the Gauss 7's rear panel goes beyond that with powerful, easy-to-use acoustic tuning controls, perfect for tailoring the system to your environment. A placement switch Three-position acoustic adjustment allows you to optimize the Gauss 7 to suit the configuration of your space, while a three-position High Trim switch fine-tunes other sonic aspects. Each Gauss 7 is equipped with an individual gain control for calibration. accuracy of the system.
