The Beyerdynamic DT 72 IE is a professional in-ear monitoring system designed specifically for guitarists and vocalists, whether on stage or in the studio. Its sound signature highlights vocals and guitars, delivering clear, present, and detailed audio tailored to facilitate monitoring during rehearsals, concerts, and recording sessions.

Its acoustic tuning combines controlled bass, slightly emphasized upper-mids, and precise highs that remain smooth and non-fatiguing. The response in the 200–500 Hz range has also been optimized to minimize the occlusion effect typical of in-ear monitors, resulting in a more natural perception of voice and instruments.

At the heart of the DT 72 IE lies the TESLA.11 dynamic transducer, developed and manufactured in Germany. It delivers excellent detail resolution, high transient accuracy, and very low distortion (only 0.02%). Its extended frequency response—ranging from 5 Hz to 40 kHz—ensures precise reproduction across the entire spectrum, with a nominal sound pressure level of 114 dB SPL at 1 kHz / 1 mW.

Thanks to its compact, ergonomic design—developed based on extensive anatomical ear analysis—the DT 72 IE offers a secure fit and superior passive noise isolation of up to 39 dB. Five sizes of silicone ear tips and three pairs of Comply™ memory foam tips are included to ensure a precise fit for every user.

Built to withstand the rigors of professional use, the DT 72 IE features a detachable 1.40 m cable with gold-plated MMCX connectors. The cable is designed to minimize handling noise and mechanical vibrations, while the MMCX connection ensures a robust, easily replaceable link. The DT 72 IE also features IP68 certification, ensuring protection against dust and water.
