Cornerstone music gear Centurio (Dual Overdrive)

The CORNERSTONE MUSIC GEAR Centurio (Dual Overdrive) is a reimagined version of the circuit from the legendary Klon Centaur pedal, enhanced with new features (two channels, additional controls).
Developed by Bill Finnegan and released in 1994, the Klon Centaur has become the holy grail of low/mid-gain overdrive, praised for its harmonic richness and its ability to greatly enhance an amplifier’s potential without altering its fundamental tone.

The Cornerstone Centurio is therefore a high-performance analog overdrive that falls into the “boutique pedal” category.
Its circuitry is built around two complementary channels, Normal and Hot, each equipped with independent gain and volume controls.
The Normal channel is the most faithful to the typical Klon overdrive: enhanced note definition, full-bodied and musical mids, and above all, that incredible responsiveness to the guitarist’s playing. You’ll get a superb, transparent clean boost or a subtle overdrive perfect for thickening the sound of your tube amp.
The Hot channel adds a second stage of gain, allowing you to achieve more aggressive distortion, more generous compression, and rich sustain. Fans of highly expressive Blues-Rock leads will be in heaven! The Bright switch lets you adjust the clarity of the Hot channel without altering the tone of the Normal channel.

The Clip control is an added bonus. It allows you to seamlessly switch the circuit from a germanium diode clipping stage to a MOSFET transistor clipping stage. This transforms the texture of the tone, the compression, and the dynamic response, letting you choose between open, generous tones and tighter, more precise overdrives.

Dedicated footswitches for each channel let you switch from a rhythm tone to a lead tone without having to adjust any settings.
An external control input facilitates remote control.
