CORT Artisan A5 Plus SCMS OPTG 5-string solid body electric bass with active Bartolini electronics, is a modern bass concept with single-cutaway for enhanced body-neck balance and Maple neck-thru-body / multi-scale neck for a longer scale length on the bass strings (from 35.5”) to shorter scale length on the treble strings (to 34”).
Wings are made of Ash adorned with Spalted Maple top. Panga Panga is an alternative to Wenge, with acoustic properties similar to the best Rosewoods.
The trademark Bartolini sound is preserved in the MK-1 while providing superb sound quality and value. The MK-1 delivers plenty of punchy and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound.
The Markbass MB-1 EQ provides a very natural and transparent boost that does not color the organic nature or resonance of the instrument’s woods. The crystal clarity and natural warmth combined exude a passive feel with smooth lows, full-bodied mids, and bell-like highs.
