Designed for the most demanding acoustic environments, the DPA 6388 CORE+ combines the natural sound quality characteristic of DPA with a particularly controlled supercardioid directivity. It is particularly suitable for live performances, theater, conferences, places of worship, broadcast and sports applications, where voice isolation and feedback resistance are essential.

Its CORE+ capsule offers excellent speech intelligibility and maintains homogeneous behavior over a wide frequency range. The off-center acoustic axis of the capsule allows the microphone to be positioned slightly to the side of the mouth while maintaining optimal pickup. The result is greater tolerance for placement variations and more consistent restitution from one user to another.

The supercardioid polar pattern ensures excellent off-axis rejection and provides high gain before feedback in environments with audiences, stage monitors or nearby broadcast systems. The capsule is optimized for placement approximately 3 cm from the corner of the lips.

The 6388 uses DPA's Act frame in an improved version: redesigned earloops, reinforced clip retention, downward cable routing to reduce stress and discreet, non-reflective PVD finish. The boom can be positioned both on the left and on the right.
