Dynaudio LYD 5 B/B - one piece

With the LYD series, Dynaudio Pro isn't simply revisiting a classic: the brand is completely rethinking its vision of modern monitoring. Inspired by the exacting standards and reliability that made the legendary BM monitors so successful, the LYD range builds upon this heritage while incorporating current solutions in digital processing and high-efficiency amplification.

The objective is clear: to offer high-fidelity monitoring capable of revealing the finest details of the mix, even at low listening levels. The bass response remains perfectly defined, the sound reproduction is balanced, and the listening experience is comfortable, even during long work sessions—a signature sound inseparable from Dynaudio Pro.

Each monitor features Class D amplification coupled with 96 kHz/24-bit processing, a next-generation soft dome tweeter, and an MSP (magnesium silicate polymer) woofer. Bass Extension, Sound Balance, and Position Mode settings allow you to precisely adjust the speaker's behavior to suit the acoustics, placement, and working preferences. True to its roots, the LYD series is designed and manufactured in Denmark.

Dynaudio LYD-5: The benchmark for compact monitoring

Designed for demanding but space-constrained work environments, the LYD-5 sets a new standard in the compact monitor category. Its extremely precise sound reproduction at low volumes makes it ideal for near-field listening, small studios, mobile setups, or carefully curated home studios.

The handcrafted drivers are paired with a latest-generation Class D amplifier and 24-bit/96 kHz DSP control, ensuring perfect coherence and a fast transient response. The woofer uses a lightweight aluminum voice coil, optimizing response speed and low-frequency control.

In order to achieve the best compromise between lightness, rigidity and precision, the woofer membrane and dome are molded in one piece from MSP, ensuring highly neutral reproduction and excellent fidelity of detail, despite the compact size.
