This FENDER Custom Shop Time Machine 1952 Telecaster NOS #R150200 (9237003498) is a reinterpretation of the vintage model, featuring a two-piece ash body, a bolt-on neck, and a AAA-grade flamed maple fingerboard (60s Oval C profile, 21 narrow frets, 9.5" radius), Custom Shop hand-wound '51 Nocaster (neck) and OBG "Original Blackguard" (bridge) pickups.

Regarding the Relic finish: dealers attending NAMM 1995 were completely blown away by the level of realism in the first two Relic models that Fender presented to them that year. Although they were connoisseurs of vintage guitars, they mistook them for authentic original Fenders (they were a ’51 Nocaster and a ’56 Mary Kaye Stratocaster).
The accelerated aging process is now fully mastered and accounts for the bulk of Custom Shop sales.
