Bassist Sean Hurley has certainly made his mark in L.A., playing bass on tour and on record for John Mayer while maintaining an astonishing pace as an in-demand studio bassist with artists including Ringo Starr, Annie Lennox, Robin Thicke, Alanis Morissette, Vertical Horizon, and Colbie Caillat. Hurley recently anchored Mayer's Born and Raised as well as the latest release, Paradise Valley, with his well-worn '61 Fender Precision Bass.
The FENDER Custom Shop Sean Hurley Signature Precision Bass (9235001346) solid body electric bass replicates Hurley's favorite instrument in three colors.
When spec'ing out Hurley's original bass, Fender noticed a piece of foam he'd stuffed under the strings in front of the bridge to deaden the strings, so they designed a special Fender string mute that can easily be engaged at any time during a song—a feature never before offered on a Fender bass.
