Fender Made in Japan Traditional 60s Jaguar Ltd - black pearl

Originally produced from 1962 to 1975, the Fender Jaguar was designed to offer a more luxurious alternative to the Stratocaster and Telecaster. A variation on the 1958 Jazzmaster, it differs from that model with a short 24" scale and a pair of pickups with a more cutting tone.
In its early days, it was particularly popular among surf music enthusiasts. In the 1980s and 1990s, the Jaguar became a favorite among many American punk rock, shoegaze, and indie rock musicians. Kurt Cobain of Nirvana was certainly one of its greatest ambassadors.
Following the first Japanese reissues in the mid-1980s, it went back into production in the U.S. in 1999. Since then, it has been available in numerous variations under the Fender and Squier brands.
