ABOUT THE PRODUCT

The FURCH Limited Edition Blue SX D C14 is a Dreadnought-style acoustic guitar with a solid Sitka spruce top, solid Black Limba back and sides, a solid African mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
This combination produces a sound that is both full-bodied and powerful, with generous bass, present mids, and rich highs that never lack clarity.
The ebony fingerboard subtly and naturally compresses the sound, adding beautiful clarity.

Just like Brazilian rosewood or Madagascar mahogany, Black Limba—also known as Korina—is an extremely popular wood species. Originally used to craft certain original Gibson© models, it is a prestigious variety of mahogany sourced from African forests. It has a significantly higher density than common mahogany, with a magnificent added clarity.

The Furch Blue SX D C14 is a steel-string acoustic guitar that embraces aesthetic simplicity yet remains a high-quality instrument with a fully realized, utterly captivating vintage character.
It is a versatile acoustic guitar suitable for a wide range of musical styles.

Furch guitars are extremely well-regarded and are every bit as good as comparable models offered by leading American brands.
At Furch, it all begins with an uncompromising selection of wood species, during which environmental considerations are taken seriously.
Next comes the drying process, which the company spent many years perfecting before achieving optimal results.
The classification of woods according to various criteria (color, grain, consistency, stiffness, etc.) leaves nothing to chance either.

As we know, the soundboard and its braces play a fundamental role in the instrument’s sound and longevity. Here again, Furch draws on its three decades of expertise, which has enabled it to find the optimal balance between stiffness, volume, sustain, and dynamics.

The finish is by no means the least important element in the equation that defines great acoustic guitars. Furch has gone the extra mile to develop an effective protective finish that fully preserves the sonic integrity of its guitars. Its finishes are stunning, but above all, they are extremely uniform and consistent in thickness.
