Furch Vintage Pure EM a D - natural open-pore
The FURCH Vintage Pure EM a D is a Dreadnought acoustic guitar with a solid Englemann spruce top, solid African mahogany back and sides, a solid African mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard.
A top-tier steel-string acoustic guitar with a polished vintage aesthetic that’s truly captivating.
Furch guitars are extremely well-regarded and are every bit as good as comparable models offered by leading American brands.
At Furch, it all begins with an uncompromising selection of wood species, during which environmental considerations are taken seriously.
Next comes the drying process, which the company spent many years perfecting to achieve optimal results.
The classification of woods according to various criteria (color, grain, consistency, stiffness, etc.) leaves nothing to chance either.
Englemann is a high-quality spruce. Less dense and paler than Sitka or Adirondack, it produces noticeably more pronounced midrange tones, a softer attack, and remarkable clarity, contributing to a more “vintage” sound in the guitar.
As we know, the soundboard and its bracing play a fundamental role in the instrument’s sound and longevity. Here again, Furch draws on its three decades of expertise, which has enabled it to find the optimal balance between stiffness, volume, sustain, and dynamics.
The finish is no small part of the equation that makes for great acoustic guitars. Furch has gone the extra mile to develop an effective protective coating that fully preserves the sonic integrity of its guitars. Its finishes are stunning, but above all, they are extremely uniform and consistent in thickness.
