Ultra-lightweight, resonant, and dynamic, this magnificent JAMES TRUSSART SteelTopCaster #26036 is a neo-vintage solid body electric guitar that perfectly embodies the genius and expertise of the French luthier. James Trussart has successfully reinvented the iconic Fender© Telecaster© guitar—no small feat.

Unlike the all-metal Steelcaster, the SteelTopCaster is more traditional. Only the top is adorned with an engraved steel plate.
Its construction combines a “Swamp Ash” body featuring tone chambers (to reduce the instrument’s weight without altering its core character), a bolt-on maple neck, and a maple fingerboard (set with 22 frets).
This traditional combination of woods produces a tone that is both full-bodied and responsive, dense and precise, with dynamic lows, balanced mids, and crystalline highs.

The pickups are Trussart Arcane Wide Range Humbuckers and Telecaster single-coil pickups. The Wide Range is a reinterpretation of the model developed by Seth Lover in the early 1970s, which was used on the Fender© Custom©, Deluxe©, and Thinline© models.
