Equipped with a 12AX7 high-voltage tube, the KEELEY ELECTRONICS Tube Drive Twin Triode Dual Overdrive combines two complementary circuits for enhanced versatility. You’ll have at your fingertips the warm, organic tones of a tube preamp (with the two triodes operating in series in Class A), as well as those of the popular Keeley Phat Mod, a pedal highly regarded by guitarists for its harmonic richness, dynamics, and expressiveness.
The Tube Drive features an internal power supply that delivers approximately 168 volts. This allows you to harness the full potential of the 12AX7: natural, smooth compression; generous harmonic saturation; and impressive responsiveness to the nuances of your playing and the characteristics of your rig.
The Keeley Tube Drive will appeal to guitarists who love the deep, dynamic overdrives typical of amps with tubes and who need plenty of flexibility to navigate from blues to modern rock or old-school hard rock.

Tube mode produces warm, mellow tones, ranging from a subtle organic crunch to a thicker overdrive. You can achieve clear “edge-of-breakup” tones by turning down the volume knob on your guitar.
Drive mode generates more pronounced distortion, with rich mids, firm lows, and excellent clarity.
Both circuits can be activated independently or combined, with the option to choose their routing (switching their order—upstream or downstream—in the signal chain).
When the Drive circuit is positioned before the Tube circuit, the overdrive tones are full, round, and warm. In the reverse order, the response is more incisive and aggressive.

Each channel has individual controls for volume, gain, and tone. Each switch activates the respective circuits. To reverse the routing and activate the bypass, simply press and hold the switch.
