Medeli MK401
The Medeli MK401 shows that innovation and affordability can go hand in hand. The instrument stands out with the sampler, the DJ styles and the XY pad for creating your own sounds. With the MK401, Medeli is trying to appeal to a younger audience of musicians. Experimenting, creating and making music are at the heart of the MK401.
The XY-pad allows you to radically change the sound with a simple fingertip gesture. This allows you to give even more expression to your performance. There are several presets with which you can control different parameters. Below is an overview of the effects that can be controlled.
- LPF (Low Pass Filter)
- HPF (High Pass Filter)
- Resonance
- Reverb
- Delay
- Sidechain
No idea what we mean above? Don't panic! The MK401's user-friendly interface immediately challenges you to play with all its possibilities.
The Sampler:
The MK401 is equipped with a microphone that is located above the display. When recording a sample (of a voice for example) the keyboard will automatically transpose this sample and spread it over the whole keyboard. This makes playing a background chorus on your instrument a breeze. Apart from the fact that this can lead to very funny vocal distortions, this tool can also be used in a very musical way after a little practice.
