Pfx circuits Preamp GE (Germanium)
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
Designed and manufactured in France, the PFX CIRCUITS Preamp GE pedal is a germanium preamp in the tradition of the PFX Silverface. It is built around a custom discrete operational amplifier (AOP) featuring a pair of JFET transistors and a vintage 1969 NOS germanium transistor.
It also incorporates an asymmetric soft-clipping circuit that includes a NOS diode, similar to the one found in the PFX Julius.
The PFX Preamp GE is perfect for boosting gain (up to overdrive), attack, bass, or treble, and for giving your signal the warm, dynamic character of a tube amp.
