Pwm Mantis
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
The Mantis is a Duophonic Hybrid Synthesizer offered by the PWM brand.
The PWM Mantis hybrid duophonic synthesizer, designed by the late Chris Huggett and PWM (Paul Whittington), represents a revolution in the field of sound synthesis. By combining advanced algorithms, DSP stability, and precise analog control, this instrument offers an unparalleled musical experience.
Featuring two oscillators powered by a robust DSP chip and leveraging sophisticated mathematical calculations, the Mantis provides complete control over tone, thus preserving the unique PWM sound character. Additionally, its variable-state VCF filter with overdrive, built around the specially designed SSI2164 chip by Chris Huggett, delivers unmatched sonic qualities previously reserved for OSCar connoisseurs. With two filters in each analog signal path and width modulation controls, the possibilities for sound customization are endless, allowing you to create truly unique tones.
Inspired by the architectures of classic WASP and OSCar synthesizers, the Mantis offers an extensive sound palette, ideal for creating rich textures and massive sounds. Its premium semi-weighted keyboard, equipped with aftertouch and a 360-degree modulation joystick, ensures optimal musical expression. Furthermore, the integrated mixer and modulation matrix provide intuitive and in-depth control over sound design, making the Mantis an indispensable tool for musicians and producers seeking limitless creativity.
