Built with high-quality components and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the MetroExpress 21-Fret Vintage J/J Bass produces sounds to match, worthy of much more expensive models.

The Sadowski SMX21VJ features an Okoume body, a bolt-on roasted maple neck (C-profile), and a Morado fingerboard (21 fretboard markers, 34" scale length, 12" radius). This combination produces a rich tone with clarity, bite, and dynamic range. The lows are warm, the mids are full-bodied, and the highs are bright.

Used for decades in the maritime and aerospace industries, Okoumé (native to West Africa) is a wood of choice for electric guitars (John Suhr has used it for many years).
This lightweight, low-density wood can be considered a high-quality mahogany with more pronounced high frequencies and an extended dynamic range, enhancing the instrument’s clarity.

Morado (Pau Ferro), which makes up the fingerboard, is a wood sourced from the forests of Brazil and Bolivia. Its high density produces a tone that is a hybrid between rosewood and maple. Its very pleasant feel is undeniably reminiscent of ebony.
