Soma PULSAR-23 ZANZIBAR (Screw)
The PULSAR-23 ZANZIBAR is a drum machine offered by the Soma brand.
The four voices of the Pulsar-23 are divided into bass drum, bass, snare drum and hi-hat, each of which is individually configurable.
Overall, the instrument produces an organic and direct, almost massive sound. In combination with other tracks and parameters, it is capable of creating noisy tones reminiscent of the metal industry, as well as FM sounds.
For modulation, it offers an LFO with variable waveforms covering a frequency range of 0.1 to 5000 Hertz, four percussive envelopes, a random generator, two inverters, an additional VCA, as well as numerous patch points and inputs compatible with Eurorack modular systems. Analog distortion, delay and reverb effects further enrich the sonic possibilities.
