The SQUIER FSR Classic Vibe '60s Jazzmaster solid body electric guitar (0374083974) is an affordable yet superbly crafted reinterpretation of the 1960s Fender Jazzmaster. It combines traditional and contemporary features.
Poplar body, laurel fingerboard, C-shaped neck profile, 9.5" modern radius, 22 frets, Fender-designed Alnico pickups.
The body is made of poplar, a wood species considered an alternative to alder. Widely available and affordable, poplar is therefore often used to craft entry-level and mid-range instruments.
The laurel used for the fingerboard is a high-quality alternative to rosewood. With superior density and stability, its acoustic performance is comparable to that of Brazilian rosewood.
With its very accessible neck (C-profile, modern 9.5" radius, 42 mm first-fret width), beginners who want to discover the Fender world under the best conditions and without breaking the bank will have no trouble getting the hang of it.
