Featuring a trio of Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups with 5-way switching and push/pull tone knob for engaging the neck pickup in positions 1 & 2, this Squier® Strat is teeming with tonal versatility.
Other details include a string-through-body Tele® bridge for optimal body resonance, a slim and comfortable “C”-shape neck profile, a gloss neck finish for a slick yet confident feel, and vintage-style tuning machines for smooth, accurate tuning.

Body is made of Poplar, considered as a nice alternative for Alder, with close balanced tonal characteristics.
The lighter feel, subtler grain and cheaper cost of Poplar is perfect for affordable instruments. Netherless it is used to built some high quality guitars and basses.

Fingerboard is made of Laurel. It's a spectacular and often overlooked guitar tonewood. It has the look and feel to that of East Indian Rosewood, offering rich overtones and brilliant highs that produce lively and dynamic performances. It's sound is often compared to that of Brazilian Rosewood.
