Tone king Royce Preamp

Featuring three preamp tubes powered by a high-voltage circuit—just like the Imperial and Royalist models—the TONE KING Royalist Preamp faithfully reproduces the sounds of the legendary VOX AC30s from the golden age of British amplification. A non-exhaustive list of some of its prestigious users is simply staggering: The Beatles, Keith Richards, Brian May, The Edge, Rory Gallagher, Tom Petty, Midnight Oil, Brad Paisley...
They have all fallen under the spell of this amp’s distinctive character, which stands out for its crisp attack, its natural and musical compression, its rich and organic saturation (ranging from textured crunch to generous, biting overdrive), its incredible responsiveness to playing nuances and adjustments to the guitar’s volume knob.
Its bass is dense, precise, and controlled; the mids are expressive and open (with very prominent upper mids); and the highs are crystalline, with the “chime” that is an integral part of the AC30’s tonal identity (the chime refers to sparkling high frequencies, remarkable note separation, and harmonic richness that can evoke the timbre of a bell).

The “Zero Watt Power Amp” circuit design ensures authentic tube amp responsiveness and optimal interaction with your guitar’s pickups and effects.
Two separate channels with independent controls allow you to select one of three modes (1964, 1967, 1970) and adjust the gain, EQ, and volume with great precision. You can also choose between three IRs.
Two reverb and tremolo circuits, each with their own individual controls, will enhance your tones.
A built-in low-latency IR speaker cabinet simulation interface allows for high-quality recording to a mixing console, computer, or headphones (it can be connected directly to the Imperial Preamp’s stereo output). Each channel offers a choice of three IRs, and you can instantly save and recall up to 128 presets using an external MIDI controller.
