Universal audio Volt 2 G2
The smart solution for professional-quality sound
The Volt 2 Gen 2 is a compact and versatile USB audio interface designed for musicians, songwriters, producers, podcasters, and content creators.
Designed by the team behind the Apollo interfaces, it lets you record quickly on Mac, Windows, iPad, or iPhone while taking advantage of tools designed to simplify setup.
Its Auto-Gain and anti-clipping protection features, along with its color Smart Display, let you focus more on your performance and less on technical adjustments.
Three Tone Shaping modes to shape your takes
The Volt 2 Gen 2’s two microphone preamps feature 60 dB of gain and three Tone Shaping modes that let you instantly change the sonic character of your recordings:
Warmth: to add a warm character inspired by tube circuits
Focus: for a precise and present sound
Shine: to capture the brilliant character of a British Class A preamp
These modes let you add more personality to vocals and instruments right during recording.
32-bit / 192 kHz audio conversion
Thanks to its professional 32-bit / 192 kHz converters, the Volt 2 Gen 2 accurately captures the details and nuances of your recordings.
Its speaker outputs and headphone output ensure precise monitoring during both recording and mixing.
Record Two Sources Simultaneously
The Volt 2 Gen 2 features two mic/line inputs and two Hi-Z instrument inputs on the front panel.
This allows you to record the following simultaneously:
two vocals
two instruments
one vocal and one instrument
a stereo source
Each mic input features independently switchable +48 V phantom power, allowing you to use condenser microphones.
Smart Display Color Screen
The Smart Display lets you quickly view the inputs, levels, and key interface settings.
This clear visual feedback makes adjustments easier and allows for simpler level control during recording sessions.
Auto-Gain and Clipping Protection
The Auto-Gain feature automatically adjusts the recording level in a matter of seconds to ensure a properly calibrated signal.
Overload protection, meanwhile, kicks in to handle unexpected level spikes and reduce the risk of digital distortion during a take.
An Interface Designed for Portability
The Volt 2 Gen 2 can be powered directly via USB in compatible setups, without requiring an external power supply.
Its compact and rugged design allows it to be used in both home studios and on the go with a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
Integration with UAD Console and LUNA
The Volt 2 Gen 2 offers full integration with UAD Console and LUNA, particularly for session recall and low-latency headphone monitoring.
It is also compatible with the leading digital audio workstations on the market.
Built-in Loopback for Streaming and Podcasts
The Loopback feature allows you to mix sources connected to the interface with audio from your computer.
It is particularly well-suited for:
podcasts
livestreams
content creation
video calls
recordings combining microphones, instruments, and system audio
