Walrus audio Fable MKII Black
Discover The Fable, a pedal that generates ambient and stereo sounds and revolutionizes the way you play with its delay and granular processing effects.
Overview
The Fable is a granular soundscape generator that invites you to explore unique sonic textures through its five modes, each combining two effects that interact via distinct feedback paths. This allows your music to evolve continuously without ever repeating itself.
Creative Modes for Unparalleled Sound Experiences
Each mode in The Fable offers endless possibilities for sonic experimentation, allowing artists to create rich and dynamic atmospheres. Here are some key features:
Dual feedback technology for a unique sound
Designed by DSP engineers at Walrus Audio, The Fable allows your signal to pass through two independent effects, controlled by the feedback and regeneration knobs. This approach creates soundscapes ranging from soft, fluid ambience to organic and bizarre reverbs, all the way to chaotic, glitchy swarms.
Granular processing: a magical experience
Granular processing is a digital processing technique that uses microsamples called grains, extracted from a delay buffer. With The Fable, users can adjust these grains by manipulating their duration, position, and the size of the buffer from which they are played. Grains can be played at double or half speed to achieve pitch-shifting and time-stretching effects, as well as played in reverse for even deeper sonic exploration.
