The Yamaha MONTAGE M7 is Yamaha's next-generation flagship synthesizer. It delivers incredible sound thanks to its three motors that recreate warm vintage analog synths, cutting-edge FM synths and ultra-realistic instruments. The Motion Control engine adds a unique fourth dimension of control to your musical creation.

Unlike traditional hardware synthesizers, MONTAGE M7 seamlessly links stage/studio workflows thanks to its computer connectivity and integration. Designed for professional keyboardists who need 76 keys for splits and overlays, MONTAGE M7 ushers in a new era of sound, control and workflow.

New AN-X engine

A revolution in authentic analog sound, control and behavior, the AN-X engine recreates the warm character of an analog synthesizer with a host of sophisticated modulation options.

A clear improvement on the 256 notes of the original MONTAGE: MONTAGE M reaches up to 400 notes spread over its three engines.

Global improvements and new content

Memory upgrade: Wave preset 9.97 GB (vs. 5.67 GB) and user flash memory 3.8 GB (vs. 1.75 GB). A host of new sounds and instruments: pianos, orchestra, drums and more.

FM-X, rotary VCM and drawbars

The 8-operator FM-X engine revives Yamaha's heritage for timbres ranging from clear "bell-like" to aggressive and evolving. The VCM rotary speaker effect and drawbar adjustment simulate the vintage behavior of classic organs.

Extensive management and libraries

16 library slots to host up to 10,240 additional performances (in addition to over 2,700 presets), with quick searches by category, name and attributes.

Pure Analog Circuit 2

The Pure Analog Circuit (PAC2) reduces noise and improves dynamic range, crosstalk, low-frequency phase and distortion, delivering a clearer sound at all volumes, with more detailed midrange/presence.

GEX action with polyphonic aftertouch (M8x MOUNT only)

Available exclusively on MONTAGE M8x: GEX and polyphonic aftertouch to modulate each note held independently, with grand piano-style key repeat behavior.

New performance controls

5-segment ribbon with dedicated HOLD button, new KEYBOARD HOLD button for holding chords while editing, plus dedicated portamento on/off and portamento time settings.

Dedicated keyboard, part and scene control

Dedicated keyboard, part and scene buttons to control 16 parts per performance: intuitive, efficient control, ideal for live performance.

High-resolution control and motion control

All controls (keyboard, faders, Super Knob, Sustain, motors) are now high-resolution for smoother, more analog behavior. The Motion Control engine includes Motion Sequencer, Super Knob, Envelope Follower, etc.

Improved lighting and interface

New LED lights and colors on faders, Performance, Live Set and Category Search for instant visual feedback and a vastly improved interface.

Softsynth ESP plugin (coming soon)

The Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) reproduces MONTAGE M in your DAW. Free for registered owners, it lets you create, edit and mix performances without hardware.

Faster, more intuitive navigation

New 512×64 LCD display, 6 touchscreen buttons and PAGE JUMP send content to the large 7? TFT color touchscreen for in-depth editing. The dedicated navigation button offers performance preview and direct access to parameters.

USB MIDI and multi-channel audio interface

32-output / 6-input USB audio interface for streamlined MIDI recording, virtual instrument control and multitrack recording via a single cable.
