Zoom H5 Studio
Designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding creators, the H5studio features F-series mic preamps, delivering extremely low noise (-127 dBu input). Thanks to its dual analog-to-digital conversion, it allows for 32-bit floating-point recording, eliminating the need for upstream gain adjustments while providing optimal flexibility during editing. For those who want an immediately usable file, the H5studio also offers 16- or 24-bit recording with dedicated gain knobs and built-in predictive limiters.
Its color LCD screen displays input levels and waveforms in real time, ensuring precise recording control. High-performance RF shielding effectively blocks interference from smartphones and Wi-Fi routers, ensuring crystal-clear recordings.
The H5studio comes with the new XYH-5s capsule, equipped with two large-diaphragm microphones (19.4 mm) capable of handling up to 140 dB of SPL, for ample and detailed sound reproduction. It is also compatible with the third-generation SSH-6e and EXH-6e capsules (sold separately), offering great recording versatility. The H5studio allows for the recording of four separate tracks plus a stereo mix, with a sampling rate of up to 192 kHz. The two locking XLR/TRS combo inputs support +48 V phantom power as well as a professional +4 dBu line level. It also features all the necessary outputs for monitoring or connecting to a camera, including a tone generator for testing and starting recordings.
Numerous features enhance its usability: mono recording for vocals, low-cut filter, automatic normalization, export to 24- or 16-bit WAV, variable-speed playback, loop playback, and more. The H5studio can also be used as a 4-in/2-out USB audio interface for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, while simultaneously recording to SD cards. Voice guidance makes it easy for visually impaired or blind users.
The dedicated connector allows for the optional BTA-1 Bluetooth adapter for wireless timecode synchronization and remote control via the ZOOM Handy Control & Sync app for iOS. It runs on four AA batteries for up to 15 hours of battery life and can also be powered via USB with the optional AD-17 AC adapter or a power bank. An optional accessory kit (APH-5s) is available, including a carrying case, a furry windscreen, an AC adapter, and a USB-C cable.
