Audient Horizon 8p
The Audient Horizon 8P is a high-performance Thunderbolt 3 audio interface designed for producers and professional studios. It offers 24 inputs and 32 outputs and features 8 console-quality Audient mic preamps capable of delivering up to 75 dB of gain with digital recall of settings.
The eight preamps feature ORBIT Control technology, which allows you to adjust the impedance according to three selectable sound signatures: high, medium, or low impedance. This feature helps you get the most out of different microphones, whether they are dynamic, ribbon, or condenser.
The Horizon 8P also features 2 JFET instrument inputs on channels 1 and 2, as well as 8 DB25 line inputs/outputs, facilitating the integration of external analog processors into a hybrid production or mixing setup.
Its 32-bit/192 kHz conversion, combined with a dynamic range of 133 dB, ensures accurate and detailed signal reproduction. With a claimed round-trip latency of just 0.99 ms at 192 kHz using a 64-sample buffer, it enables highly responsive recording and monitoring, even when using native plug-ins.
Digital connectivity includes a dual ADAT input/output, allowing for the addition of up to 16 expansion channels. For monitoring, the Horizon 8P offers two stereo outputs for A/B listening, as well as two headphone outputs.
The Horizon Control software centralizes routing, monitoring, and mix management. It includes a routing matrix, built-in comfort reverb, and support for four independent headphone mixes, allowing you to customize each musician’s mix during sessions.
