Markbass MB PB - 3-tone sunburst

The MARKBASS MB PB (MBB148068C) is a superbly crafted consumer-market version of the very first solid-body electric bass designed by Léo F. in the 1950s.
Manufactured in Asia, it undergoes quality control in the company’s Italian workshops before being shipped to retailers.
Easy to play with a compact neck profile, it’s ideal for beginners but may also appeal to more experienced musicians looking for a high-quality traditional backup instrument.

The MB PB’s construction features a poplar body, a bolt-on maple neck, and an Indian laurel fingerboard (with 20 frets). This design produces a consistent, dense, and responsive acoustic foundation, with thick, punchy bass, present mids, and dynamic, clear highs.
The body is made of poplar, a wood species considered an alternative to alder. Widely available and affordable, poplar is therefore often used to craft entry-level and mid-range instruments.
